Hymns and song suggestions, based on themes from the Roman Catholic lectionary for the thirty-third Sunday of Ordinary Time, Year C.

Readings

First: Malachi 3:19-20 - For you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness will shine out with healing in its rays.

Psalm 97 : The Lord comes to rule the people with fairness / Sing psalms to the Lord with the harp / Let the sea and all within it thunder / For the Lord comes to rule the earth. 

Second: II Thessalonians 3:7-12 -  Do not let anyone have food if they do not work.

Gospel: Luke 21: 5-9  - Jesus speaks to the disciples about the end-times - and of all that will happen beforehand - and promises that their endurance will win their lives.


Themes

The second coming / God's triumph / Christ's overcoming of evil.  The Day of the Lord.   Revelation
