Hymns and songs for the Easter season

A selection of hymns and songs, focussing on Jesus' resurrection, that are suitable for the whole Easter season, ie the weeks between Easter Sunday and Pentecost.

Hymns that are only suitable for Easter/ Resurrection Sunday are not included here: see Hymn-suggestions for Easter Sunday for them.

Most of these suggestions are free-to-use (ie public domain or copyright-free) meaning the words can be copied and sung to at least one tune with no concerns about copyright or performance licensing. Many such hymns are old/traditional - but where possible a variety of styles / genres are included.
