Marie-Françoise-Thérèse Martin was born in 1873. After many struggles, she became a Discalced Carmelite (OCD) nun, and developed the "Little Way" - an approach to holiness based on smallness.She is officially known as Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face, and popular names for her include "The Little Flower of Jesus" or simply "The Little Flower".
